Late Spring 2010

Spring has sprung!! The smells of fresh-mown lawns, new blossoms, bushes and trees in full leaf; is this not a glorious time of the year?

And, speaking of things new…
We can now officially announce the details of ONYX’s October 2, 2010 musical revue in partnership with the Brenda Scott Quartet.

Since our Winter Newsletter, we have added some new music to our Repertoire: Sentimental Journey and My Mother’s Eyes. The latter will be featured as part of a special Mothers’ Day 2011 event (watch for more on this in the fall blurb).

In addition to continually developing our varied program (there are usually three or four new songs in the hopper), we keep busy with a steady flow of our own engagements and participation in the many performances of the Upper Canada Chordsmen, with whom we are very active partners. ONYX is conducting a Quartet Clinic Wednesday June 16th during the Chordsmen’s regular meeting (starts at 7:00 p.m.) at the Old Firehall, 140 Main St. S., Newmarket. Why not drop by and see what’s happening?

Since some of us have planned vacations at other times, we will have more booking opportunities available during the summer this year. We would love to spend some time with you…anytime. Go to the Contacts page and let us know the details of your event.

As always, you can keep up with what we’re doing by clicking on the “Events” tab.
